Same for me, I have adjusted all of the various volume settings in the general menu a number of times but the car defaults back to the original settings on the next journey.

I put it down to shoddy JLR programming and am waiting for a system update to be available to correct these niggles.

Pretty sure I did the same as the OP, did you save the changes?

 

I followed the instructions but couldn't get The default volume to stay changed. Tapping in the corner or any other part off the screen didn't achieve anything. But I have found that when the instructions are on you can turn the volume down from the steering controls. Its quicker than using the screen but still doesn't stay at that setting.
