Re-Setting Automatic Gearbox

Not sure if this works on the DS found it on the Evoque forum.

Here are the instructions on how to reset the memory on your Automatic Gearbox.

1) Press Start button but don't turn on the engine.

2) Press the Accelerator down to the floor for about 15 seconds.

3) Hit the start button again to turn off the power.

4) Remove foot from Accelerator

5) Wait for 2 Mins.

6) Start the engine and Drive.

Simple but very effective- you WILL notice a difference- it resets the learned driving/gear changes back to factory- redo as and when required.

I tried this. It was great for about 300 miles, now back to the same old hesitancy and constantly being in too lower gear. So not sure it's learnt anything much.

Hi Guys, thanks for info'. I reset mine this morning, now I have to keep using paddle to get a higher gear. I don't tend to hang about, and at 60 mph, RPM above 2,000 and 7th gear is selected using standard conditions selection.Throttle very sensitive (size 10 boot). Feels more like in 'S' rather than 'D'. Roll on 300 miles.

This worked for me. Had a bump in second and 3rd that was really annoying. The timing got messed up had a timing job done and I guess resetting the adaption was the last step

Resetting the e auto box to factory settings seems to have worked for me, a lot smoother, thank you very much.
