Yep, changing half a bearing is never a good idea, which child thought that was ever going to be a fix!

That brown and blue is overheating , it stinks of a lubrication / ,bearing tolerance, issue. Or perhaps it's just not man enough for the speed or bearing load.

Good decision given the number of unwanted diesel engines there must be lying around.
make sure the vehicle is not suffering from a Turbocharger whine before completing this campaign :shock:
... once Balancer shaft whine and Turbocharger whine have been eliminated, this fault should be attributed to Driver whine and charged accordingly. :lol:

Correctly diagnosed balancer shaft whine issues can continue to be repaired under warranty.
Pretty bad wording again though : campaign suspended , keep changing the shafts .

.....which is sloppy engineering..
