Hi thanks for that, tried it this morning, looks like you have to physically go back to settings to re-activate alarm unlike Evoque where it re-set automatically..
Not sure if you’re referring to my post about the Pivi setting as you’ve quoted yourself, but if so then the setting is only for the next alarm activation not a perpetual setting. It says this on the page itself.
There are some situations where fully alarmed is undesirable, for example have you ever been on the Cardeck of a ferry with 200 cars all with lights and alarms blaring, all start to alarm as soon as ship gets out from shelter of breakwater!!
I have, and cases like that are the exception where maybe the second press should disable the internal sensors.
Anyway it is what it is, and every LR owner must remember to double press the lock button when they leave their car or it’s neither alarmed or deadlocked.
It would be so easy to reverse that in programming or make it a user adjustable setting.
It doesn’t explain how to only lock the car without alarming though. The second press is to double lock (or deadlock) the doors to stop opening from the inside when locked. Why that isn’t the default action on a single press I have no idea.
As far as I know in the facelift vehicles the sensors are only disabled via settings in Pivi as I posted above. There is no mention of this in the manual.
EDIT
Just found this section in the iGUIDE app about double locking, it seems that a second press also ‘arms the full alarm system’. Again, I question why this is not the default action when locking.
