DS MPG, is this a record?

Post by Hillwalker » Sun Jun 10, 2018 8:31 pm

My on board computer tells me I have managed a trip at 85.3 MPG!

Is that a record?

I had one route (to a photo spot I revisited a few times) in Scotland earlier in the year & the 5 mile trip back was all downhill so I hit 99mpg rather easily all the way back as you can imagine :)

Easy if you’re going downhill.... but I’m able to get up to ~”33”mpg over 33-50 miles without much net elevation change sometimes, if traffic allows. And that’s on a 2.0 “petrol”

I’ve found that I need to subtract 11-12% to get the real number. The average real fuel economy has been 24.2mpg in 29446 miles

lodgic, yes, spent 1 hour 45 minutes and travelled a distance of about 1 mile! It was a dreadful traffic jam.
