I have been thinking of a Skoda Kodiac.
A matter of taste as always but it generally seems to get very good reviews at least here in the German press.
Kodiaq is good. I've always fancied a Wrangler though and the new five door JL model looks like a fun beast.

Will be hanging on for the new Defender though (110 equiv) and this maybe my last JLR car. I'm getting to the point that I don't really need a large 4x4 that costs £60K plus ! Time soon to reflect on life and maybe simplify things.

That’s no b pillar tick , that’s door adjustment required , which incidentally is the first item on the lJLR document for dealers to check.whether they check this or not is debatable.

Door adjustment is not required as it is been checked and it is fine. This is the solution for ticking noise.

Doesn't seem to me like that would fix a B Pillar tick but if it works that's great !

There are many causes of the tick including faulty welds , faulty sealant runs , black trim , door adjustment if your dealer couldn’t find this issue Id change dealer . Go back to your dealer and get it fixed by them properly.
That’s a door rattle , the b pillar tick is inside the pillar if you havre the genuine tick and not just a rattle in the area.

If LAG says she/he have/has fixed and is satisfied then the last thing I’d do is to get a dealer involved. We all know what they are capable of.

Just accept what LAG says and basta.

Just thinking if he reports his findings back to the dealer it might just :

A let the dealer know he’s crap at finding faults
B stop some other poor sod having their car butchered for no reason
