Rear demister
Re: Rear demister
Yes but they will only function in emergency situations so you shouldn’t see them in normal driving.Iansds wrote:So even though the 2 are ticked as active, should there be some function live?

Re: Rear demister
Adaptive cruise control was not available until 2017MY
You don’t have it.
I had a failed rear demister, rear screen replaced all ok since.

Re: Rear demister
The plot thickens.... Was digging around thinking I’ve not recalled Foward Alert before.
The manuals say that the Forward Alert sensitivity is adjusted using the ACC distance buttons on the steering wheel. The 2016 manual says FA uses the same radar as ACC.
How can a DS have Forward Alert if it doesn’t have ACC?

Look at the picture above?SarahStreet wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 11:46 amYou are all confusing Forward Alert with AEB - two totally separate systems
Agree they are separate, but FA is linked with ACC, which wasn’t available on. 2015 car.

Re: Rear demister
This is from a thread way back, it seems 'Forward Alert' is a menu item that confuses because of not renaming correctly.
"FCW (Forward Collision Warning) - Standard with AEB (Autonomous Emergency Braking)
FCW (Forward Collision Warning) is a standard feature on all AEB equipped vehicles. This system uses the forward facing stereo camera. This is however also referred to as Forward Alert on the menu system and utilises the same warning lamp as Forward Alert. This system will remain active at speeds between 35kph (21mph) to 80 kph (50 mph)."

Well found - thanks!
Assumes it’s been removed from the menu completely on later cars as it’s not on my MY19 and is now considered part of AEB.
