New DS owner

Post by disco_mikey » Sun Nov 10, 2019 9:14 am

Just put a deposit down on a DS HSE. Been looking for one for a while now, only criteria from the wife was Automatic, and not white

My criteria was it must be a 2.2 and HSE

After 6 months of searching local dealers, garages and auctions, this one came up within budget

We pick it up Saturday :D

2.2 sd4 is a wise choice in my opinion.pleased so far with mine since february.no oil dilution issues to contend with.

I have my own business, dealing with LR products on a daily basis.
In no way, shape or form, would I own an Ingenium engined product at this time :|

So given it’s not the Ingenium engine at fault for the oil dilution issue - what’s the problem with the petrol and longitudinally installed Diesel Ingeniums?

Same issues with the longitudinal diesels

Admittedly, I have no experience of the Ingenium petrol. We have never seen one through our doors as yet

I thought that was only with the 3.0D ones, reports from others suggest that the 2.0D ingenious is fine in the longitudinal diesels.

Does your experience suggest otherwise?

3.0 engines are still snapping cranks, as they did in the D4/RRS

All the longitudinal models are still under warranty, but the stories from our local dealer, they are replacing 5-6 Ingenium engines across all models, every week
