DEF injector replacement

Post by MikeA » Fri Sep 13, 2019 3:26 pm

I've just had my DS back from the dealers following a mid service interval oil change (FOC) and while it was there they said there was an outstanding service item to replace the DEF injector - anyone else had this?

It's possibly not the injector itself, but more the wiring harness which connects the injector to the relevant (Powertrain?) ECU.

Lots of instances of wiring harness inexplicably snapping under tension on here. I guess that didn't happen during the 1,000,000 miles of testing they undertook on the DS. Or maybe the current owners are still testing it for them?

There is a current LR service action running to repair this: N323 - Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Injector Wiring Under Tension

That's probably what it was.
