Goodbye Disco sport

Post by Sterlingsteve » Wed May 15, 2019 11:49 pm

So today i said goodbye to my Disco sport , nearly 3 years of pretty good motoring . A few problems to start with but all dealt with very well by Yeovil Landrover .
Problems I had were brake disc wear , so they replaced them and new pads . Faulty outside temp reading , it was never minus 42 in Somerset and the dreaded early service light which they done an intermediate oil change foc . All in all about the same amount of minor niggles I have had with Audi , BMW , Mercedes , Jaguar , Jeep and numerous others . This vehicle was driven mainly by my OH and only clocked up 23K , mostly short runs , I managed to get 58.5 MPG best ever and could easily get 45 plus MPG on an average run when i drove it further . Its been all I expected it to be and I was happy enough to stay with the brand and buy a new Velar , which I picked up today . Perhaps I was lucky , who knows , but I know from all the new cars we have had over the last 25 years the Disco Sport is a bloody good bit of kit .
