Still waiting for reply from JLR UK on this issue. Called dealer today who said they had to send the recording of the sound to JLR Australia first and then it is sent to UK.
I am just wondering if any Australian members have had this issue and if engine replacement has been offered? As far as I can see the options are :
Replace balance shafts again
Replace car or refund
Car was purchased 20th December 2017 and balance shaft problem first reported early April, so within 6 months.
If the engine is replaced would that be evident to a prospective buyer if I sold?
Do they set the mileage back to zero on new engine?
