A man with a digger came and dug a 30m trench for lpg gas pipe.
Drove to pick eldest son up from his first scout camp out, took my double ladder to help varnish the gable end of scout hut.

Watched Solo with boy trying to warm himself on wood stove, his tent wasnt insulated.

How far down did you put the pipe? I know Kerosene is 18” minimum.

I remember helping out at Scouts, those days are gone thankfully.

Tonight, it’s raining hard, the eldest was revising molecular biology with his Mum. The binding of actinomycin and related compounds to DNA. Think I got that right. Beyond my pay grade, I eventually bailed out to the garage for a tidy up.

That’s a fair way down. Mind you, I think they have special machines to lay it.

Was very pleasant and sunny here, so washed the Land Rovers, vacuumed up the leaves and cut the lawn for the last time this year (again, until next week invariably!), then had family up for slow roasted shoulder of pork with all the trimmings.

Oh, and tried to help a bad-tempered and ignorant member who only ever visits this forum to rant and moan at others.....mind you, that could be said for most of us!

I did notice! the roast sounds nice, my lot won’t touch Pork willingly.

Today is mild but damp. Sent wife off to work, just the kids to go.

If it drys up, need to do some gardening. If not, trip to get some 4x4 fenceposts and housework.
