I can confirm on my HSE LUX (UK Spec) with the standard keyless locking and gesture tailgate, both functions are disabled when you follow this guide. Remote boot opening with the key works as before. Can't comment about any other functions but if you go to pull a locked door open then the hazard warning light illuminates inside (which it did with the keyless locking enabled and you did the same thing) [obviously with the key out of range].

I see it’s the same in Germany. If you want it as an option it costs almost €700! A lot of money if you just want to turn it off for whatever reason.

Just an update. (My car is UK spec HSE Lux so keyless with gesture control tailgate)

I have noticed that if you open the tailgate with the key when approaching the car (remember my keyless is disabled) it won't close again if you press the button on the tailgate, you must use the key fob. However, if you unlock the whole car and then open the boot (by any method) then the tailgate button works.

Now do I leave it switched off when I sell the car and see how long it takes the dealer to be able to restore it (since officially from LR it can be disabled)

i think that's the same with keyless active. There's certainly some circumstance where after opening the tailgate it just beeps at you when you press the tailgate button.
