Be careful where you put that jack

Post by Andy131 » Fri Mar 12, 2021 5:08 pm

Was sent a link to an article on a website that caters for electric vehicles.

It would appear that a Jaguar I-Pace needed a tyre change and that an inappropriate jacking point was used resulting in a hole being punched into the battery box. Hands up all those who have clumsily used a scissor jack at the side of the road and creased the sill -

Anyway the repair bill for replacing the battery box - not the battery just the box that it sits in ......... €32,650
Apparently the sealant is €12,611 !!
