Just tried to price up a HSE - configuration only went to SE.

Waits patiently for configuration to be updated....

Anyone want a DS :)

The LR site has it available to build from just over 40k, well it would be if you could build a 90 but the only one available to order is 110 at over 45k.

Surely, it's what the Disco 5 should have been.
I'd considered it as a possible replacement for my trusty D3, but couldn't wait, and I wasn't about to beta-test a new model. Give it 18 months.

In the meantime, I'm loving my DS!

Looks to me like LR have definitely moved away from the bread and butter farming community of the past towards a more niche market of perceived luxury.

No doubt it will be available in FWD only form later next year

But hadn't the farming community already moved away from Land Rover to Mitsubushi's and Toyota's anyway?

The old Defender had become quite expensive at the end of it's life and seemed to have already moved into the niche where it traded on people liking the idea of a Defender even if the reality was a bit agricultural by modern standards.

Makes you wonder who would buy a Discovery 5 now though...

I wonder if that’s the real reason the entire D5 production moved to Nitra, so if that does happen it’s just one more Defender produced instead.

Pleased to see the D200 has an In-line engine, big capacity, close-coupled DPF - and 20 litres of AdBlue which it will no doubt sip with all the grace of a Duchess at a banquet. :)

Well i spec'd a fairly basic 110SE to just a smidge over £51k, £605/month with £10k deposit on a PCP of 3 years, 36k miles - 50% more on the monthlies than my current DS Landmark deal.

I'm sure they'll sell enough units given the marketing to survive, but its certainly not a vehicle for the many - can't help thinking the front quarter view looks like a Kia Soul. I dare say they will be blocking many school entrances by Christmas

Agreed. They aren’t that cheap.
However their capabilities exceed the market competitors.
Still similar capabilities and specification to the D5.

Question of styling preferences.
Love the exposed structure. That’s they way forward for weight saving.
Why paint all the structure then cover with Finish materials and plastics. Silly. Expensive and a waste. Exposed is much smarter.

Holding out for the phev.
