Ford has announced it is going to replace all the batteries in the Kuga/Escape PHEV !
Is this as a result of the well-documented recall regarding duff LG batteries and the ‘arcing’ issues?

It was something I caught during the week from Fleet News. I only scanned the first paragraph or two and assumed that it was the same thing I posted after speaking to Ford on 13th October: "There's a delivery block on at the moment. It's due to a vent pipe on the hybrid battery."

Now it seems that they've discovered that it's battery cell contamination in the production process. The Ford solution is to recall every car in the field and to stop further shipments. Don't know the battery manufacturer.

It will have to be next week now. The person doing my handover is on annual leave until next Tuesday so I will collect my car next week.

Yep , I’m waiting for the FPace variant to be tested by owners for a couple of years first , but I must add the new nose job it’s had in design looks bloody awful imo.

Might just keep mine a while longer , it’s 3 years old next Feb and never missed a beat . I also Pondered an SVR 😍but looks like that’s been dropped of the website. I’ve got a hybrid bike so I’m doing my bit.😀

Maybe JLR are not selling those big engines to keep their C02 down for the EU figures?
SVR may be back soon, saw a test car in Bewdley a few weeks ago....
