Interior Mods

Post by Zammalad » Sun Sep 13, 2020 10:55 pm

Just picked up my Disco Sport HSE (2018) and was wondering what, if any, cool interior mods people have done

There are some speaker and windows switch trim pieces which can liven up the doors which can look a bit bland, had them on my first DS as was very black, not bothered on current car. See viewtopic.php?f=19&t=2830

The HSE has pretty much all the best mods from the factory.
The best interior mod I've found (and the only one I've made) has been to swap out the little rubber coin tray under the dash for one with a wireless charging pad in it.

Alloy (sports) pedal covers - plenty of Chinesium versions that fit absolutely fine for a fraction of LR accessories pricing Image

Speaker rings as dashnine suggests - i bought a set from aliexpress, but after 16 months they are still in the packet

Ditto the alloy plates that fit on the rear edge of the boot floor Image

there are lots of dash/centre trim overlays available - but they are a bit tacky / 'Max Power' for my tastes or really blingy !

There are storgae trays / boxes that slot into the centre armrest cubby, or in front of the gear selector

Alloy manual shift levers

There's loads of stuff out there, some more tasteful than others ;)

I’ve saw these alloy plates for the boot on aliexpress. Do they fit properly on DS MY20?

Thanks, I'll probably go for the pedals, boot scuff plates and the door insets. Also found the storage box insert for in front of the gear selector which looks promising. It's definitely functional mods more than bling that I'm wanting.

I’ll second the wireless charger. It’s easy to install but mine doesn’t work so don’t just buy the cheapest one you can find from China!

Dash cams are easy to hardwire. Not a mod as such, but looks good.

I’ve also done:

1. Pedals. Can get them for under £15
2. Premium mats - bought them off here and they’re really thick and plush
3. Kick plates. Can get them from eBay but the guy gives a discount if you’re a forum member
4. Aluminium gear paddles if you’ve got an automatic

Any links for items purchased that are of good quality.... as pictures don't always represent the real quality :-)

I guess its not a mod as such but you could get a fast wireless charger by Baseus.. I have one on my breakfast bar at home.. its 15W so fairly future proof and its really thin.. it would just connect by USB into one of the many USB points.. might have to go in the centre armrest console.. only so the phone wouldn't fly about....might try it out in the Disco

No need on the DS, there's a proper kit for it that many of us have installed. Works really well.
