I agree, I’ve ordered a 19MY DS, but will be ordering one of the 20MY ones when it’s time to change.

plastics throughout will be of a higher perceived quality than before.
Why would anyone in their right mind want old-fashioned "actual" quality when modern, higher perceived quality is available for everyone, even royalty ?

The interior plastics on the new Evoque are much higher quality. It all feels very solid inside and out 👍

Some interesting diagrams of the new Evoque/DS platform here further down the article...

No sign of the newer exhaust architecture, but it looks like space will be at an even bigger premium with additional components under the car and in the engine bay.

I take your humorous point, but the "actual quality" of the plastic relates to things like strength, damage resistance, temperature tolerance, colour fade resistance and so on. You can have top "actual quality" but super-cheap-looking plastics.

"Perceived quality" is a less measurable, more subjective thing - soft touch, surface appearance, edge and join treatments, that sort of thing.

Hello,

I face the finance option in September and would be interested if there is any further news on the Facelift DS?

I don't want to buy a new one then the facelifted DS comes out the following week.

No further news other than what’s in the press and a couple of snippets on here. New DS will be in production after the August factory shutdown and someone mentioned in here that the order books have already closed for custom builds, so remaining production until shutdown will be standard models only.

I guess any order for September delivery will be the new model, but prices and specs aren’t available yet so there’ll be a hiatus in orders until they’re available..

New DS will actually be in production end of June, but i guess it won’t appear in showrooms until Aug time.

Yes, order books are now closed for the current DS. So the only chance to get one is if a dealer has already got one slotted to be built in the next 2 months or has stock available around them.

I’ve posted on the Evoque forum to ask if a New Evoque owner will take a photo under the car for us and we can see if the SCRF has gone!
