I do adore my beloved Dorset and you can rest assured that I fully appreciate living here, nothing like hearing the roar of the sea from your garden..

Thanks again for the advice. My dealers are now doing an oil change prior to pick up on Saturday. I'll go and search out the advice on creeping door struts (sounds spooky!) and corroded rear brake shoes. Luckily I've got a good friend who's a car mechanic so I'll get him to stick it on the lift and check when I get it. Always better to be forewarned on these things. I must say that the dealers have been very responsive to my requests so far - hope that continues AFTER the balance has been paid....

Hi Rose, welcome to the forum and I am sure you will enjoy your new aquired Disco Sport.
Had mine now for a couple of years and enjoy the the 'old girl', mine was the old 2.2 Freelander engine, so I am thinking, and waiting what to do next for when due a replacement, the way JLR are going thay might be giving them away soon....................... anyway enjoy and have miles of fun.

Looks like you've a long pedigree of Disco ownership so I think I know the answer to that one....... I've got a Disco 2 in my past too, it was my husbands rather than mine but was a lovely beast and I believe is still going strong (luckily it didn't have air suspension!).

In a wicked twist of fate my husband's Defender has chosen this week to play up (I think it's throwing a strop about it's new drive partner) and he's not insured to drive our daughter's car so he might get to drive my new toy next week whilst I bomb round in an ancient Peugeot!!

Hi Zedman,

I’ve just spent most the day cleaning and polishing (including getting all the leftover marks from the autoglym treatment the dealer did!!!)

So I’m finally ready to show you my beautiful Car but can’t work out how to add them from my phone!
