I will have had my car a year on 1 August, currently done 11,500 miles. I have not had a single issue with the car and only been back to the dealership to have a coffee with the salesman!
I am very happy with the vehicle particularly the way it drives and obviously it's capability in the snow we had this year. I have owner BMW's and Lexii and can't say it is any better or worse regarding build quality.
Fuel consumption is not great - currently getting 37.81mpg but it is a heavy, un-aerodynamic car!
I accept I will have to have services every 12,000 miles but I knew that before I bought the car as i know a JLR engine designer and he advised me to get oil changes done on the Ingenium diesel!!!
To conclude, I will almost definitely have another in 2 years, probably a petrol hybrid when they are available.

Hello Zedman, it’s a joy to hear from a really satisfied DS owner. Oh how I wish ours had been so trouble free. Keep on enjoying it. :D

Thanks Chippy.

I forgot to add that the occasional use of the 7 seats is a big plus for me too now we have 5 grandchildren!

PS How's the Evoque going?

Hi Zedman, the Evoque is doing really well thanks. Not a rattle to be heard, comfortable, good fuel economy and tows the caravan just fine.

Yesterday when I was doing about 75 down the M6 there was a crunch from the back wheel arch like I'd run over a traffic cone. I got out to have a look as soon as i could and found the bottom piece of the drivers door was missing.
Similar happened to me - the grey plastic trim on the bottom of the passenger door just dropped off. Clicked back into place and all seems OK....until the next time.
£94 + VAT for parts.
£150 to paint and fit.
Insurance excess £300.
