Evoque to landmark

Post by Rokamill » Tue Feb 19, 2019 7:57 pm

Hi everyone, currently driving a MY15 Evoque Dynamic, manual g/box, just ordered a new Landmark today for hopefully April delivery.
Corris grey, 12 way memory seats, extra usbs and a detachable towbar but otherwise as standard. Can't wait 😁😁

Will be very interesting to hear your thoughts on the change from an Evoque to DS.

If you are getting a Landmark with Spacesaver wheel I would think carefully about the LR detachable towbar....it really looks awful when not attached, there’s a really ugly metal bracket visible which on mine only after 4 months is looking really grubby. In the summer I will probably have it removed and have a different bracket fitted. I have tried to get use to it but it still annoys the hell out of me, who on earth came up with a design like this God only knows! It spoils an otherwise stunning looking car!
Beautiful 2018 Landmark in Corris Grey....with ugly LR tow bar!

Try a search on here for “ arse piece ” on the forum search box and you’ll see that tow bar fitting is not their best designed effort

No spacesaver just the tyre repair kit, haven't had a car with a spare for the last 10 years and touch wood I haven't needed one.
No info as yet as to when I get the car.

In reply to a pm that I can't reply to, my build date was March 22nd but I've no idea if it was on time, I expect my dealer will inform me at some point.

In 2016, I have done the same : changing my Evoque (Pure, 4 WD, 2.2l 150 HP, automatic) to a Discovery Sport (HSE, 4WD, 2.0l 150 HP, automatic). I still have it (60 000 km) and I really enjoy it. Maybe I am one of the little without issue on the forum... The DS is a bit less premium but interior space and boot space are really better.
