Just seen this post for the first time, excellent post!

Our first DS was white with a black roof, and it was all too messy with a black boot strip and front fog light covers, silver wing panels and grey letters. IMHO the black pack is a rip off as you are only paying for black alloys, all the other parts cost the same to make, they're just painted black, besides i love the HSE 19" wheels. We got the grille and side vents sprayed a gloss black for €120 at our local body shop and i swapped the letters for a black set bought on fleabay.

Top tip. If you remove the grille and if you work methodically one can remove the grey/silver louvres from the main grille which means you only have to colour or coat these parts and can leave the black surround untouched.
Gone: SD4 HSE (rubbish), TD4 HSE Lux (great)

Arrived: TD4 (180PS) HSE Lux, Auto, Santorini, Ivory Leather, 19" Chrome Shadow alloys, Privacy Glass, Mudflaps (poor start..but turning out to be the best built yet :o )

Anyone had this done by someone in the UK (the lettering) Not that confident to try myself so was curious if someone has had it done and if so how much it cost?

After watching a few videos on YouTube I’ve decided to get some of this stuff. I’ll try the Sport badge first and see how that comes out then move on to the bonnet and boot badges if i manage to get it right!

I used this on my grille, very easy to use. Also finished mine off with the gloss coat. It’s ok for now but colour match (black) isn’t great and I don’t like the rubber feel. Did consider using this in the lettering but in the end just replaced mine with letters and template purchased from eBay.

Hi mate, were the letters genuine LR or copies? Been looking at the copies but heard that they aren’t very good!

No not genuine but you couldn’t tell the difference side by side. I did call a dealer and was told to purchase any black pack items from them I needed the chassis number to replace! So I could only get if my vehicle already had the black pack. Crazy!!!

Thanks mate, I have a spare front grill that I’m going to practice on and see how I get on.

Going to do the Sport badge when I’m happy I’m not useless for sure and see what that looks like...
