Replacement under-car plastic Protection plates

Post by SPMac » Sat Feb 01, 2020 10:18 pm

I have managed at some point to loose a chunk out of the nearside (lefthand) plastic protection plate (aproximately under the lefthand passenger seat) see attached image of damaged and then the undamaged from the otherside:

Does anyone know where I can find the correct LR part number for these?

Cheers

There was a Technical Bulletin (LTB01025) on these, cracking on early models due to the wrong material. Depending on the age of your car it might be worth a go at the dealer.

See https://www.discosportforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=8962&hilit=Ltb01025&start=10#p92320.

Mine had exactly the same problem, the shield had cracked and a chunk fell off.

Dealer tried to claim that I'd hit something but when I pointed out the Technical Bulletin, they replaced it under warranty.

Good luck.

Have the same issue and removing it was pretty easy (6 nuts and a small aluminium shield). MIne was damaged as I hit a fairly large debris that fell off a moving truck.

There's no product label but a code moulded on: FK72-104C21-AD.

Used this to and managed to order a new piece from the local parts store. You have to indicate left or right side.

Same issue on mine, went through a puddle and heard it brake off and rattle against the underneath of the car. Spoke with my local dealer Farnell in Bradford. Will email them in the morning. Have taken a screen shot of the bulletin.
I’m sure will resolve this for me. I have a 2016 SETech so earlier model. Taken out full mashing LR warranty. Will update you.
