My Phase 4 update has failed, I was given the news by telephone this evening.

They are trying to install it again overnight, so we shall see.......my gut instinct based on previous experience is that they didn't read the release notes properly first.

More at some point this week, when I get it....
Yep there seems to be a fair few service techs stuck in the “I don’t need to read instructions” brigade. They probably read the book after irs failed.

Unfortunately sometimes it just doesn’t take. There is a couple of repair routes dependant on failure type. Possible new module, or a back door reconfig before applying the Phase 4 update

Is there anyone who is currently running Phase 4 in their vehicle and using Apple iOS 12 having any connectivity issues with InControl Apps, or is everything hunky dory?

I'm currently still using iOS 11.3.1 as had a very temperamental 17c, so haven't dared update to iOS 12 as yet - would appreciate hearing from anyone running the above Phase 4/iOS 12 combination, good or bad.

TIA

Dropped car off at 8am this morning for the update, given a Jag XE R Sport as a courtesy car. Was told it would take quite a while which I already knew and to come back between 4 & 5pm.

Arrived at dealers at 4pm to be told they hadn't even started the update as their diagnostics software had some problem this morning.

Well you could of rung to tell me I suggested especially as I needed my car tomorrow. So that's tomorrow's plans now cancelled at the last minute!

Not very happy to say the least. Complaint will be made to senior management.

I’m finding ACP very good. Siri works fine. No real delays.

Biggest bonus is Apple Maps. Way better than the LR mag for traffic. Last nigh heading home from Basingstoke, Apple Maps rerouted me very quickely due to a major blockage on the M4. The LR Pro Services hadn’t even registered it so I would have been stuck !!

Saved me over 40 mins according to the delay notification.

For Apple Music it’s great. Using the cars screen rather than the phone is so much better.

Messages using Siri is also brilliant.

Good to have a choice of Nav too with the built in, Apple and Google Maps, Waze.

Each to their own but I’m a fan so far.
