Changes to TOPIx - login not required

Post by HmmmUK » Thu Sep 19, 2019 6:00 pm

I've just noticed that JLR have made a change so that anyone can check to see if there are outstanding campaigns on their vehicle without having to register as an independent.

That looks like a good move and makes sense - I guess they were getting fed up with so many 'Independent Operators' registering for an account!
You just need to use a vehicle VIN similar to the OSH (Online Service History) system.

On the downside it looks like they may have changed the way they name campaigns which could makes things tricky...

The LR page can be a bit 'tricky' (device type/cookies?) so doesn't always display this option.
Here's what you should see:

TRIED THIS WITHOUT LOGIN AND GOT THE MESSAGE:
This service is not available in your market

Then tried to login with previous username and password and got:
User access not possible, please contact the helpdesk for assistance.

Any suggestions

Just tried the same thing, VIN only as a customer, and got the same "This service is not available in your market" message appear.

I was then allowed to login without any issues and could then lookup my VIN in the normal, old, way.

If you are trying to connect to TopIx via a VPN or private browser, then you will get this message.

Try a different browser, remove all restrictions (as they are paranoid about who and where you are) and if it still doesn't work, then call the Helpdesk up. They can remotely rest your CSMID.
