SSM 73484:

Issue:
A customer may express a concern that the audible passenger occupancy alert sounds and the seat belt warning light comes on when nobody is sitting in the passenger seat.

Cause:
Under investigation.

Action:
If you are a UK based retailer and encounter the above concern:
Do not carry out any dismantling of the seat.
Raise and EPQR
JLR may then organise an engineering visit to assess the issue and assist in the repair of the vehicle.

LTB01086:
SITUATION:
A customer may express concern that the keyless entry lock function may not operate or only operates intermittently

CAUSE:
Water ingress into the exterior door handles prevents correct operation of the keyless entry lock function.

Interesting. For the first time since picking up my SE Tech I had issues the last few days with the drivers door keyless locking. The first time I simply couldn't get it to work at all & ended up locking via the rear o/s door keyless. The second time a couple of days later it took a couple of touches to register.

Will keep an eye on it...

For what it's worth, I have a MY17 SE Tech on loan with exactly the same problem. Unless you are within 5cm of the vehicle, the keyless locking doesn't work. It unlocks fine from a normal approach distance, but locking it has become so intermittent I've resorted to using the keyfob. I think my neighbours thought I was bonkers tapping the door handles to no avail....

I had the problem of the keyless entry not working, I booked it into the dealer for a reset 2 days later it failed again. They ended up replacing the keyless entry module.
