This Week's Fault: Creaking Brake Pedal

Post by Woolmeister » Sun Feb 18, 2018 9:49 am

This week's fault is a creaking brake pedal.

Whilst not quite as annoying as rattling B pillars, bonkers gearbox and high beam assist that has a mind of its own, it's still annoying. But only when I brake.

I'm also detecting a rattle coming from the offside exhaust tail pipe so I anticipate this will be next week's fault.

Blimey Steve you're getting more than your fair share of problems. :(

It's a bit like "Flavour of the week" one wonders what'll be on the menu for next week.

It’s all down to driving style, you need to use the brakes less.... 😀

Yes, I saw that thank you. My gearbox gets reset every time it goes back to the dealers anyway since they always manage to find a "software update, sir".

I wouldn't mind if it was consistently bad, but it's so damn inconsistent from one day to the next.

I had the squeaky brake pedal plus a couple of rattles early on in the car's history; a bit of grease by the dealer & no recurrence. :D

So how about you do the reset anyway, and feedback if it's any different? No more auto moaning until you do.... :-)
