Fitting front mudflaps video

Post by BFGDSMan » Tue Jun 20, 2017 9:16 pm

It seems the removing a towbar video was quite popular so we have made another one showing how to fit front mudflaps.

https://youtu.be/9Q0xQ1IBf1Y

If we weren't filming it would take about 10mins per side. Any comments or likes greatly received.

Thanks

No worries. I am not into blowing my own trumpet but note to the Moderators, these could be stickied to the top of the section if popular enough. I will be doing some more soon.

Thanks for the video - don’t suppose you have one for the rear flaps as well? Just wondered if you need to take the wheels off or is the fitting process similar to the front?

Yes, good video. Just waiting for the one on B pillar ticking.

Strangely enough I was putting rear mud flaps on the bigger Disco yesterday. Thankfully, I put the air suspension into extended mode and I could do it all without taking wheels off.

Not sure if it's uploaded here but I did make one so will be on my YouTube channel.

I did it with the wheels on but it's tight. Clearly easier with the wheels off. The difficult screw is the one that holds the bumper to the felt inside liner of the wheel arch - I used a small ratchet with screwdriver attachment as there was just enough space..
