I think this is what you need:

LTB01119v3 - Ambient Air Temperature Display Incorrect

https://topix.landrover.jlrext.com/topi ... ?id=893459 ( if you have access to topix )
Thanks Roydonaldson, yes I believe that is the fix , not seen any reports of the fix not working yet , so hopefully folks can ask their dealer for this.

Yep, mine does this too.

Sit with the engine off and the radio on (for all of the five minutes before it powers down) and when you start the engine up, display shows -35c outside and the vents are blowing hot air.

All good for winter - but it’s been +20 degrees here for the past couple of months!

I had the same and the dealer fixed it no problems.

However, I did have to specifically tell the technician the exact fault symptoms. The receptionist initially translated it as the temperature guage is faulty. So, he sat it next to another car, turned both on, the temperatures were identical so they said it was fine. It wasn't till I spoke to the technician and told him the exact fault symptoms that he then connected it up to his computer and updated it. This fixed it and it's all been fine since.

Agreed, easy software fix available from the dealers that eliminates it completely 👍🏻😀

I don't agree that the software fixes it. The temp becomes very sluggish and resistant to change. I've now gone an entire winter with the fix and never once saw a negative temperature despite maybe a dozen days below zero.

I have a professional weather station at home that on one occasion was showing -4°C despite the car never dipping below 1°C. That could potentially cause a very dangerous situation for the driver...

Sorry to hear that BJM, but that’s not my experience. I got the software patch soon after it came out, and taken it through the winter and summer. Tracks the outside temp well and on numerous occasions was into the minus - with the snow and ice we had.

It’s effective at putting on the heated windows and assisting the air con settings.

Might be worth asking your dealer to reset and update software again?

My car has been to the dealers multiple times since the fix was applied with multiple software updates but still as described.

This actually the least of my issues unfortunately...

I haven't updated that in quite a while. There's a fair amount of new info missing from the blog
