Ask the fitter to instal new software don’t let him go until you are happy with your car, my car has been fine since this update and I am sure your will be to after the software update, good luck.

Update: LR assist came out today. Nice to talk to a knowledgeable technician with no bullshit. He updated the software and cleaned out the injector, which was quite claggy. I suspect the dealer didn't bother last time and just reset the software. Technician's report:
No engine restarts in 487m incorrect diesel exhaust fluid detected , fluid level 8.7l, rset scr monitor, update pcm software , check fluid ok , clean def injector.
DEF range is back to around 6000, which should be good until the next scheduled service.

Re: Adblue quality warning

I received the quality warning message a couple of weeks ago, just before going away for a weekend, so I called LR Assist. The remaining countdown miles would not have been enough for my trip. The engineer came out within a couple of hours and without touching the vehicle said it needed a software update, which he then installed.
Problem went away and hasn't returned.
So it looks like an issue they knew about and have resolved.

Yes Rob, there's a PCM Software update relating to false Adblu Quality warnings. Mine was updated yesterday on the driveway.

Hi, sorry for late reply but went on holiday on Sat 8th after having car at dealers on the 7th for this fault.
Technicians report;
Removed injector and found to be blocked and soiled - cleaned
Found SCRF hole blocked and soiled - cleaned out
Updated PCM, carried out dosing, reset and prime, pressure test - passed
Road test - all ok

This injector was cleaned around 2000 miles ago. Is the SCRF hole where this injector slots into ?

Your thoughts please

Yes I think so. The LR Assist technician said tha sometimes it's the injector and sometimes he has to go into the unit with a Phillips screwsriver (!) and clean out the hole that the imnjector slots into.

Hi Past master. I thought it might be so if the injector is cleaned and the hole is left clogged the injector is going to block up quicker. I can only try it now and see what happens, cheers
