Then it must have been a faulty weld during manufacture which is what I meant in my previous post. The marks look like they have been made while cleaning off the weld area but it's not easy to say from the picture you posted.

I don't think it's anything to worry too much about.

It looks like pliers marks.
Also found some welding .... how to say... those small balls from welds...

Can such a mess be from the factory?

The rubber seal on my drivers door has been fitted before the paint was completely dried out.
Probably indicates some remedial action in the factory as body shells usually go into an oven then a storage area until the paint will be dried and it's called to the assembly line. Suggest the same has happened to Leonims DS too, and possibly all shells are being rectified. We need our insider to take a wander down the line and have a look....

It would be interesting to know what the difference with MY18 body shells is (if they have fixed it), and whether it's a visible difference as I wouldn't bother with a dealer fix until they've rectified it in the factory as a starting point.

Assuming the white patches in your photos are just reflections of your camera flash off the paint, is it then the 'dimples' you are worried about? They look like normal spot welds to me, standard way of joining panels and usually hidden behind trim or in this case door rubbers, so manufacturers don't make any effort to make them look attractive.

the central patch is reflection of camera. The right and left are unpainted or something.
Also looks like they used that tool to press the 2 metals together.Dont know the word... but it's the tool you see I b pillar bullets of JLR that is used in order to make the drills and welds.
I got those 2 marks on every door ALMOST in center.
Also If you zoom left of that Mark you can see that weld "ball".... sorry but my English can't help me in this one...

OK sorry, was difficult to make out in the photos whether the white patches were reflections or where the paint was different.

Mine had the B pillar spot weld fix, and they filled and repainted the area where it was done so that it was totally smooth. In fact that's the only way I could tell where the repair had been done, because you couldn't see the spot weld 'dimples' in that area.

btw if someone had his car fixed I would really interested to know that service center.
It might be better for me to send the car in another country than make the repairs here in Greece.

So after telling the dealer I will be rejecting the car after the failed first attempt at a repair I allowed them to have another go.
First attempt was stage one but with some mastic stuff injected and no spot welding which I was initially told had been done.
They had the car for a week and took it on several 10 mile drives to make sure it had worked.
Picked it up today, on the way home it started again, (if I had hair I would have been pulling it out at this stage!) back to dealership making noise all the way.
The body shop guy was very apologetic and as peed off as me, Land Rover don't pay enough to cover the time spent repairing.
So we went for a test drive, guess what, no noise🙄. He offered to do stage 3 but I said I needed to think about it.
Still quiet all the way home about 50 miles. Think I must be jinxed.
The nearly new loan DS felt much better screwed together and very nearly rattle free, should have not taken it back!
Need a strong drink!!
