Hi
Rear seat belts are attached to C pillar , but yes the seat belt holder for front seat passengers was part of the 10 stage fix on the DS , to re rivet them .
Anyway ...
New DS are supposedly fixed with respects to BPillar , but older vehicles are still susceptible.

Better of to search for oil dilution, early service, DPF faults to get some info ,the search on here is pretty good and you can ask questions on the relevant threads about these issues .

A good long test drive is always best

As above. I bought mine blind but with eyes wide open, and so far only the oil dilution and ticking b pillar remain unresolved.

Those issues aside, it's a fantastic and versatile vehicle, and if those issues were fixed for good then I would be keeping hold of it. Sadly, it would appear that they will never be fixed, so on that basis I will be bowing out in the next month or so and taking the financial hit on the chin. Shame really...

Just as an update to my post above :

I spent the week with the DS in Devon last week, and the B pillar rattle has all but vanished, all by itself. Not a tick or rattle from it all week between temperatures of 18 and 25 degrees!

However.......

Somehow, it now seems to have moved to somewhere around the lower drivers door area....at least that's where it sounds like it's coming from. Every day is different with this motor.....

(And yes, it is for sale!)

Badgerface, I can't recall hearing about anyone else who has experienced what you have.

Perhaps it's sensed that it's for the chop :o

Any ideas what you'll replace it with? (Only if you want to say that is)

No, not at the moment Chippy. I'm going to put the money back in the bank and stay with the Freelander for now. Whatever it ultimately is, it certainly won't be from the JLR stable!

Good man Badgerface. Same with me when the time comes to get rid of the Evoque. Anything but JLR!

Schönen Abend.

As Chancellor Kohl supposedly said to Margaret Thatcher when they first met

“You can say you to me”!👍

A matter of taste as always but it generally seems to get very good reviews at least here in the German press.
