More interesting is that Renault and Kia make better put together cars than LR who are supposed to be a premium brand.

So I get the dreaded call from the dealer- "we have tried stage 2 fix & it hasn't worked". "We are booking your car to go to the body shop in October".....
I'm picking the car up tonight.....
I really like my DS but the whole B-PIllar issue is wearing thin on me 😡

Good luck is what you'll need I'm afraid because experience (mine including) has shown that the third stage will almost certainly not work if the first two haven't. And even if it does it may only be a temporary fix.

In your case I wouldn't hesitate to say to the dealer enough is enough and reject it.

Quick question to Barnsh...how is your current vehicle...any sign of a B pillar tick or other rattles?

You are on your third DS and know you are very hot on any issues with them.

I am expecting my replacement around November time, and am dearly hoping not to have a rattle box!

Adventurer- so far the latest one is completely quiet, but I do find myself listening for it which spoils the enjoyment. There are good ones out there you can only hope you get one of them.
The fact A few people have had it twice does make me wonder what the odds are of getting another bad one.

Mine has been checked today and dealer has now identified the B pillar creak and arranged to repair the problem. The car is 6 months and 2 weeks old. If the repair is not successful, I will need to consider the rejection option.
Barnish your post on 7th September suggest that there is no significant difference, in rejecting a car after 6 months compared to 1to 6 months if the problem was obviously present when built. Is my understanding correct?

Stereophonic B-pillar ticking seems to be getting progressively worse on mine. Terrible today. Once it starts, it's impossible to "un-hear" it. I just hope it's as noticeable when it goes into the garage on Monday.

This car is the automotive equivalent of tinnitus.
