Thanks for that Barnsh. Looking through it in a bit more detail it would seem that they're "attacking" the whole B pillar area in the hope that something might work after all.
Yes chippy , front and rear door apertures, but less hammering and chiselling on the door can't rails front and back replaced with mole grips and a lot of bending back and fore.

I dread to think how long all this takes in a body shop start to finish doing one stage at at time as they always hand the car back whether they hear it or not after each stage.

The top seatbelt noise is now vin specific though so one thing is fixed in production!

The more often I look at this bulletin the more horrified I am and the more satisfied that I no longer own a DS.

JLR customer services in Germany were given information by JLR U.K. that as if a certain body number the problem would be solved and this was passed to me via my dealer. This was clearly shall we say an untruth.

Add to that the fact that our question to CRC remains unanswered can only lead me to believe that LR has no idea what they are doing.

I never met him but in understand there was once a chap called Walter Heath Robinson. I suspect that’s where the engineers responsible for this abysmal situation get their ideas.

Version 8? Well I suppose it does imply that they are still trying. We should be grateful for small mercies.

Hi Guys,

I had the B-pillar rattle on both sides. The local dealer here kept the car for a week, carried out the SB and its now silent.

I had it on the drivers side, didn’t go with the first fix.
After the second fix it went from the drivers side and appeared on the passenger side!
Apparently they were advised to do the remedial work on both sides.

Rejected and picked up MY18 in scotia grey yesterday....no rattles as of yet, we’ll see what the summer brings.

Hello superdiscobreaker,

Here's keeping fingers crossed that the new DS is not going to develop the problem.

The post from CRC this afternoon may be of interest to you.

Good luck
