Clutch pedal heavy intermitantly

Hi, my DS is now 7 months old. I am very happy with it generally but have noticed something odd when I have been driving on the motorway for a few miles at motorway speeds.
If I have to downchange when leaving at a junction or a queue of traffic sometimes the clutch pedal has more than twice the pressure needed to operate it than it would normally. Subsequent pedal operations are back to normal pressure.
This has only happened on journeys with prolonged high speeds.
Frequency probably 4 times over 100 mile drive but still disconcerting.

Anyone else experienced/aware of this one?

Does the clutch have any power assistance ? ...

Just standard servo on the DS.

The old focus sti used to do this and other vehicles , in those cases it was down to heating of clutch fluid and expansion. Happened to my brothers old car and many other stis
Solution in that case was upgraded fluid ( better DOT 4.1 or 5 for temp level) .

Can't be air in it , as that would make it soft . Sounds like expansion to me.

Do you use the brakes a lot before this happens , just wondering if the DS Brake and clutch fluid are connected ....some vehicles are joint and some are separate hydraulic systems.
Does the bite position change when stiff.

Also, it has only happened when having to down change whilst slowing down.
I'd go to the dealer and see what they find, better to be safe and see what they find.

Did you ever find out what was wrong re the clutch?
Just curious.

The issue was nothing that could be recreated when it was raised as problem so went nowhere. This effect still happens tho. Usually after a prolonged dual or motorway stretch in top gear. The first change back down to 5th for example can give a real heavy resistance from the clutch pedal. Further depressions are always more normal. Odd really. I am convinced it is assistance related at the pedal.

Thanks
I was wondering if there was any correlation with this thread, if the brake and clutch servo assistance use the same hydraulic system , but I don't know if they do on the DS.It could point to the vacuum system or fluid valves etc.

Just wondering if this issue was ever resolved or if anyone else is experiencing similar?
I have exactly the same issue with my manual discoSport. I find my issue only occurs after driving for >30/40mins on the motorway without depressing the clutch. Then as soon as I press the clutch it is much heavier than usual and also the spring-back is much slower than usual. It's never got stuck down completely, but worried that that could/might happen one day.
It feels like something related to the hydraulics. I mentioned it to my dealer, but they couldn't replicate the issue (they didn't drive it consistently without changing gear for long enough) and whilst the car is still under a Used Approved warranty, I'm concerned they get the gear box out, not find a problem and i'll be left with an £800 bill with no solution to the issue...
Thoughts/suggestions welcome ...

Go out with the tech and make sure he drives in the right way to replicate the issue.

I have exactly the same problem & asked the dealer to change csc while gearbox was out having timing chains replaced but they didn't. the problem is if they cant replicate it they wont do anything. im fighting with them at the moment car went in for this & other work & haven't seen it since its been there a month
