My My Discovery Sport P250 SE in Silicon Silver and Acorn

Here are pictures of my 4 week old car. It was delivered in a snowstorm in January with the awful weather continuing until now. This is the first opportunity to clean the car and post pictures. I absolutely love the car's looks as well as the quiet, smooth and comfortable way that it drives. Let me know what you think.

At launch, the DS was available in a colour not dissimilar, Kaikoura Stone. For reasons known only to Product Marketing, this was dropped at 17.5MY (amongst others)

Perhaps they have realised the error of their ways, rather like they did when they dropped Loire Blue

I think Silicon Silver immediately replaced Kaikoura Stone? Certainly been around a while, 2017 or so. Generally looks a bit less brown 'in the flesh' than the photos - a slightly beige silver...

Both colours were available in April 2017 when I placed my order.
Silicon Silver is definitely one of those colours that can look different 'in the flesh'.

To me, it's got a slight green tinge. I still like it

Sometimes depending on which way the light hits the car it can even look copper coloured.

Silicon Silver first made its debut on the Velar as standard on the First Edition. If you wanted it as a costed option, it was nearly £3k extra - obscene!

I wasn’t aware that it was an option on the 550 until 18.5MY

Got a brochure marked April 2017 with Silicon Silver, so what's that - MY18? Doesn't mean they actually painted any DS until MY18.5 of course!
