Speak too soon. The car developed a new problem now. The car goes very jumpy and apply gentle gas on D mode. LR technician will come and take a look tomorrow. I'm already asking the dealer for car rejection already.

Oh dear, this is not a good start. I hate to say it but LR QC/build quality seems to be taking a bit of a backward step; a shame as they seemed to have got it sorted before the facelift vehicles.

I think I’m just pure bad luck on my purchase. Hate to say I’m experiencing the so call reliability problem that most people is talking about. I’m giving them a second chance to put this right on the replacement new car. Not sure how it all works, will they confirm with me first on the spec before replacing right? I only interest on the SE petrol model in this metallic black and 20inch diamond contrast alloys. Unless they can temp me with the R Dynamic trim.

I would reject it while you can! it seems it will be outdated soon anyway.

Could be one of those famous lemons. They crop up from time to time. Probably safer to get a replacement if possible.

The 'legendary unreliabiity' people (especially American's) talk about with JLR is, in my personal experience, a total crock, that dates to the bad old days. I certainly remember them breaking down in the 70's and 80's and in the early 2000's most cars because a bit dodgy, but it's all very old, and out of date news.
After 16 years combined experience with JLR products (built after 2008) I can confidently say they are certainly as reliable as any of their competitors and in several cases, more reliable.

Agree with ntc, reject it now as this could be a one off chance to get the new 2021 model & may be upgrade to a R dynamic HSE as this now has your preferred option wheels as standard as well as the driver assist pack that was up to 2k extra previously, also note that the panoramic roof is standard again on many models. I just wish LR would option an opening sunroof like on every other model they build, having had one on my Freelander 2 I really miss this feature.

Ps, Anyone know what the new Hakuba silver looks like in the flesh? (Any pictures appreciated as the LR build site is not a true image of the colour)

The dealer accepted rejection and they in a process of finding replacement car. Still haven’t heard from them yet. I hope they can find me a better one but at least it will be 70 reg over here in the UK .....

I won’t settle for anything other then metallic black with privacy glass and 20s on a standard P200 SE unless the car they find me is good enough to temp me away from that.
