Be interesting to see if the new Ingenium 3.0 straight 6 will go in transversely.

From what I have seen at the engine plant the new 6 cylinder engine is very compact.

But on the original subject, the diesels are the better tow cars. Can’t argue against that 😉
Or an SVR 😍
Agree to disagree......someone fitted a tow bar to his 550bhp SVR !! Criminal.

On a long trip on a motorway it’s seen 30mpg, typically 27mpg on medium, A road type driving.

It’s averaging around 24mpg overall, dragged down by very short trips of a couple of miles. And flooring it in Sport mode...

For comparison I got 32mpg out of the D180 over 26K Miles, I don’t seem to have the lightest of right feet!

I had a drive today in a P290 with a re-map to 350bho, and it was just fantastic!

It pulled like a bloody train! 😁

Hi

My consumption after 2K Miles use is about 33mpg, and improving each week.
Not sure how much further I can push it up.
Motorway driving above 70mph hurts it obviously and more so than my diesel examples.
I use a combination of supermarket UL and the more expensive additive stuff every 3rd tank full.

However, the smoothness, power delivery and good match to the auto gearbox is very nice. As is of course no oil dilution to worry about anymore.
The cabin is much quieter than my previous diesel DS’s, more than I expected.

No trailer or van for me at present or planned.
