Chip for diesel 2.2 sd4

Post by BigStu » Sun Feb 18, 2018 7:46 pm

Hi has anybody fitted a diesel chip to Discovery Sport 2.2 SD4 190bhp 2015 auto?
I was wondering if it's a worthwhile route to take!
Just acquired the above model but feel it's a bit slow on the uptake from a standing start.
Chipping seems a good idea.

Not seen one on here , searching for chipping brings up a debate on the effect on warranties.

I've not seen anything either but, as Barnsh says there have been discussions around warranty issues.

Or read my post in this topic just in case you don't understand the compromises on how they actually work

We had a blue fin on our RRE 190ps. Very good with options to choose how much you want the wick turned up. I put it on Max power (230ps) for a but (which was fun) but left it on their recommend power/torque/fuel consumption blend. Gave about 215ps and we increased the range of the car about 10%. PM me if you want and I can post it to you if you wish to test and try and then buy at a cheap price?
Gone: SD4 HSE, TD4 HSE Lux.

TD4 (180PS) HSE Lux, Auto, Santorini, Ivory Leather, 19" Chrome Shadow alloys, Privacy Glass, Mudflaps (poor start..constant niggles).

Now arriving mid Sep 18 - Merc E220d AMG Estate & E220d AMG Cabriolet

I've used Bluefin / Tunit brands for the last 16yrs without any problems. Remember to tell your Insurance company.
