Ive has the software update and now can't reset the service counter - is there an option using any software / apps I could purchase and the OBD port ?

My OCD can't cope with an incorrect service warning âš

Unless you have access to SDD >v.154, or PathFinder, depending on your vehicle MY, then the short answer is no.

Your local retailer *may* reset your oil/and or service counter for you, for a small fee, but they are under no obligation to do so if they haven't carried out the work in the first place.

If you cannot get it reset, then make a mental note of the date and mileage that you changed your oil, or serviced it to schedule, and put a sticker as a reminder on the inside of the B pillar like we used to do in the good old days. There is no workaround on this issue (as yet)

Thanks Sarah and Ive sent a private PM, i guess my worry is that 'should' my car due to say oil dilution need an oil change before the 10k miles / 12 months that i would i normally do then without being able to reset the indicator i would never know ?

That said its a 240bhp model which in theory doesn't suffer from the dilution issue like the 180's etc !

Hi, Did you get an outcome to this,
I have a 2016 DS and on starting up it says service required, I've had a full service and the garage cant remove "service required"!
Also the information in the centre dash don't have service menu! (with or without ignition on/ off)
I have tried the open bonnet and door / both pedals pressed ect, it don't work and I have a very good OB11 reader that also says its cleared the service and when I turn the ignition back on it comes up for 5 seconds service required
Any help would be greatly received
Thanks
Kevin

As i understand it the only option is to take to landrover and ask them to reset who will of course charge a fee to do so ! unless anyone else has found another solution ....
