Good morning all - my first post and its nice to meet you all....
For some time now id been looking to get a discovery hse model...... Online i have found a lovely 2019(04) 2.0 TD4 180 HSE Dynamic Lux but locally here in belfast a guy was selling a 2015 2.2 SD4 model and i called to see him to have a look.....
now here is why i post:
He had told me the avoid any of the latest 2.0 engine models - that this was landrovers own attempt and that it was an absolute disaster with people needing new engines -- i did do some research on this and i do see that people have suffered great heart ache with engine failures and LR not accepting responsibility. He said to only buy the 2.2 model.... (and that his 2015 was the last batch of those - not sure if he is correct or not)
I guess i just wanted to know if the latest models by LR have sorted the engine failures - i would hate to part with substantial monies and suffer the misfortune that others have.... or do i go for a 2.2 model or do i just avoid avoid avoid
Any thoughts / feedback / experiences most welcome - and sorry for the novice post
