My advice would be to use the 300bhp sparingly. The front power transfer box is £4k for an independent to replace and REALLY doesn’t handle the extra torque well.
The 240bhp diesel has the active driveline purely because the Haldex can’t handle 500Nm of torque, up that by 25% and the GKN system will struggle.
Finding someone who is willing AND has the software to replace the front transfer box is a whole bundle of laughs. Oh and the rear axle gets upset when it attempts to push 625Nm through only one of the rear driveshaft clutches.
Back in the day, the Freelander 2 limited the power and therefore the torque in the first 2 gears to protect the Haldex and gearbox, maybe LR did something similar for the DS? I bet the upgrade people didn’t.

If they also removed the speed restriction in the software and you are tempted to use it on the autobahn at night ……. The gearbox will overheat after about 30 minutes above 125mph and to be honest the handling isn’t really up to it. Leave that stuff to the guys in the Ferraris.

Or start with a PHEV, rear axle already has a 100bhp motor, and just tune / replace the engine for 300bhp.
Anyone who has driven the D180 for hundreds of thousands of miles will “know” that the D240 is just unnecessary and excessive. Then again D240 drivers will know that 240bhp absolutely necessary from time to time (and better on fuel) more is just a waste.
Those with 300bhp might agree in public, but deep down they know that the shove is addictive.
Chelsea1234 - time for a road trip I feel, the one thing that the DS excels at is long distance journeys- 800 miles a day gets me to my parents in a couple of days, several times a year. Or nip to Germany and let her stretch her legs.
