Looking on the Apple website and iOS 9 is on its way, it now has car play. Will this work on the DS? Apples website just says "if your car supports wireless connection to iPhone, you can use car play without plugging in" does the DS need to be Apple car play ready?

Anyone have any knowledge of this?

I don't think the DS currently supports CarPlay which is a shame.

I didn't think so, I know JLR signed up but must be for future cars.

Just had a browse on the net, the Ferrari FF is one of the only Apple CarPlay ready cars.

Had a look on the Volvo Website and it's a £300 option on the new XC90

I think the best way to get Car Play is to get an after head unit like these:

From what ive seen the main functions are already replicated on most in car systems (contacts/messages/music) having the maps would be cool but its quite expensive for what it is.

You'd also be tied to using an iPhone for all the time that you own the car as Android wont work.
