I have 2016 Landrover Discovery Sport. On four occasions I had incorrect diesel exhaust fluid quality detected. On the first occasion The dealer re-programmed the system. On the second occasion they drained the adblue tank put in new adblue also new sensor. On the third time i was on holiday had J L assist and they told me JL were aware of the problem and working on a solution re set the system.yTook it bact to dealer who told me nothing wrong with system. On forth time JL assist told me the same thing, and told me to take it back to the dealer. They removed the float from the adblue tank. Can anyone offer any advice which would be most helpful.

Only that there isn't a float in the Adblue tank, it's an ultrasonic sensor that detects the fluid level and can be prone to errors when the tank's overfilled. Suspect a bit of dealer BS there.

From what you say, they didn't clean the injector or injector socket. If so, that seems to be the most likely cause in this case, as everything else has been eliminated. It cured a recurring problem on my car (which the dealer couldn't diagnose - full marks to LR Assist).

my 2015 has just come out of warranty and this has appeared on the display after a 150 mile drive, does it cause the car to degenerate itno limp mode or anything if I dont get the message sorted
thanks

On the Ingenium engine it starts giving you the "no restarts after..." warning and you will have to get it fixed soonish. If yours is the earlier 2.2 engine I don't know, sorry.

2.2 PSA engines are Euro 5 and as such, don't require Adblue as there's no SCRF system present.

Thought that might be the case. So it's an Ingenium and it needs fixing. It won't go into limp mode but after a while it will refuse to start.

L/R are full don't knows, 11 yes 11 times roadside assistance came to my 2016 DS it was not until August 2018 did they fix the car, they installed new software it's been great since you need to insist on new software

For a premium, yes, I'm sure that they will!

I doubt if anyone on here knows the answer, as I think the fault has always occurred within the warranty period. You could be the first in this situation. I suspect "yes" if you have Extended Warranty, and "yes but you'll have to pay" otherwise. It may not be a software issue - several possible causes have been mentioned. Another question - they will presumably have to interrogate the car for fault codes - will there be a charge for this?

Why do people assume that when a vehicle is out of warranty that's it no more help from manufacturers, if you have had an ongoing problem with a car that has not been fixed then the warranty is still ongoing until the said problem has been sorted, go to the dealer if they refuse to help you have two options (sell the car and never buy from them again) or talk to the manufacturer directly but firstly write down a list of dates and times you have had the issues and work with them to sort it, it works it did for me, good luck. Don't forget we all have choices at the end of the day.

Unfortunately it appears from Descoot's post that the fault first occurred once the car was out of warranty.

Not to be left out mine was three years old on the 23-12-2018 and on 22k the same dash lights came on yesterday, I have added Halfords Ad -Blue around 20lts in the last 12k miles so about to call the dealer as no assist or warranty etc.

fwiw, I've just read through the detals of LR Extended Warranty. It says they don't cover software updates. That could just get a bit annoying!
I am due N273 and the dealership just said oh we'll do it next time your car comes in. I'm getting it done before the warranty runs out though just in case.

well ÂŁ120 later after I had over filled with adblue (which I didn't know you could do & after being advised to top it up as it could clear the fault) and had to have the tank drained and warning reset, its not reappeared. But a simple reset would have cost ÂŁ100 less
