‪@diehummel I would say it's an issue with Android. Try updating your phone to the lastest Android and app versions. Restart phone etc. ‬

@Filwill based on the speech version etc., looks like the original v2.5

@aquascape I don't know everything that has changed but I found it more responsive and it adds an additional satnav setting (although can't remember what). I also haven't had any issues connecting my phone, InControl apps etc or DAB issues.

Filwil I'm not sure too, was that updated recently?

What does the main home page look like, can you post any images? I wonder if that is the latest ICT update. Apple Car Play?

Cheers

Bluebottle, I did upload an image of the screen. Still not sure of my situation but overall the system works well, apart from the clock freezing constantly, along with the overall experience of my first LR! All good, so far!

@discodriver: My Phones are always up to date :)
8.0 official latest Update version.
Devices are not rooted.

But i already thinked about it, to be able to install a "mass storage driver" app and use the sdcard to mount as usb stick.

But before, i'll try the GROM Wirelinq Android Cable. Already ordered.
With it, it should be possible, that the Android Smartphone is detected as an iPod from the ICT.

@bluebottle

There is no Apple CarPlay update for ICT only ICTP.

If you look at all the version numbers in the screenshot they are lower than the latest ICT v3.4 (see screenshots earlier in this thread). Therefore, as the speech date is 2014 and the other component versions are much earlier it suggests it is v2.5.

Hi all.

My clock was freezing or not showing at all (the one on the satnav) so the dealer did an update (actually two updates they said - can't remember the names of what they updated).

I've checked the version, however, and its the same version as it was before I took the car in.

Do I have the latest version and they've simply reinstalled it?

For what it's worth, it's not fixed it. Software updated yesterday and used the satnav today and the clock didn't appear on the infortainment screen.

Thanks.

Based on the Speech and V850 versions, this is a very old version (looks like even before version 2.5).

The latest is:

Jacinto Version: 3.4 R1.04 (31 Oct 2017)
Ipl: 15.0
Speech: 2016.W15R01 16212A
V850 App Version: 25.194
V850 Boot Version: 12.0

If you can convince them to install the latest version then they will need it over night. I would also be interested to know if they install something newer than v3.4 R1.04.

Can I ask what the car went in for for them to update the software?
Many Thanks

What does the v3.6 give you?

Do Android phones finally connect via USB?

Is v3.6 for the Touch or Touch Pro?

I assumed this was for the Touch (non-Pro system).

I didn't think the Touch could do Android Auto or Apple Car play?

This is InControl Touch. It's a bit unclear what you are actually asking, but Android phones have always been able to connect via USB or Bluetooth to steam music and phone calls. However, InControl Touch does not support Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.

I have 2 Android phones (Samsung S8 and LG V30) and neither of them connect via USB to the InControl Touch on a 19 plate DS Landmark - I thought the was a known failing on all DS with InControl Touch?
I also have an Apple phone and that connects via USB with no issues (using iPod in source selection). I can only get the Android phones to connect via Bluetooth (not great if you appreciate sound quality), so end up using the AUX source, so have to use the phone directly to change audio tracks.

I was just asking what the latest version of firmware (v3.6) provides over previous versions, as I was hoping it fixed the Android USB connection issue of not being able to play audio via USB?

Okay if it's the Toch then it makes sense.

If sound quality is important and you have a usb input then use a pen drive

The pen drive won't play FLAC.

FLAC only plays via Apple phones or using your device's analogue output via AUX.

The DS is a great car, let down with a major failing (for those that care about audio).

The Meridian system sounds very impressive, though.

Thankfully it play FLAC files on my car, that's why I splashed out on the top Meridian InTouch Pro

The main issue is that the Touch doesn't connect via USB for Android devices.

I cannot believe that JLR would leave it like this, hence thought that the newer firmware may have fixed this issue.
