Just received a question from one of you and thought I post the answer for all as well
Hi mr X
I paid EUR 700 to chip my RR Evoque 2.2 diesel to 228bhp and 500nm torque. The car was transformed in the process and now uses 10-20% less fuel as the engine runs so effortless at normal speeds. RR Evoque struggled to get to 185km/h and now easily runs 210km/h
Biggest and best benefit is pick-up from low revs as it is no longer "nothing and all at 1,800rpm" but power now arrives gradually. Stupid moments of hesitation at roundabouts no longer happen. feels like a completely new engine and gearbox without turbo lag
In The Netherlands these pure software upgrades on existing Bosch ECU are also performed by LR dealers for EUR 1,500 so I would say warranty is supported but not guaranteed. Tuner does provide warranty on engine though
Best decision I made certainly combined with K&N airfilter
RICA has offices in 30+ countries so not hard to find...
WOULD ADD TO THIS:
RICA confirmed new 2.0 diesel can easily take 220bhp and 460nm torque. RICA is slightly more conservative on torque this time as engine is all aluminium. Currently breathing their magic on Jaguar XE. Not to be confused with add on "diesel box" or ECU swaps. Standard Bosch ECU is retained!
