HSE badge MY2016

As fas as I am aware, unless you order an HSE Luxury then is no badge other than SPORT if for instance you have ordered the standard HSE or HSE black edition. Hopefully someone can say I'm wrong!

Correct, saw it on the pictures of our car when it just arrived at the dealer.

That's ridiculous - I ordered an HSE and I expect a badge to prove it :evil:
If I bought a Lux or Black I'd expect a badge to say that too and if I wanted to debadge then that's my prerogative :roll:
Mind you I'd settle for anything driveable right now or at least signs of life from my dealer who may have closed down judging from the complete lack of communication at the moment :?

Share your pain; the closer you come to delivery and expect the dealer to be in touch, the less you hear?!

I ordered my DS with debadge option which leaves only black DISCOVERY on the back and green logo.
If I wanted to find a black SPORT badge, which one is most suited?

Car buying is just as bad as house buying. Both should be times of excitement, but ruined by people making money of the back of it.

You know there are a lot of different fonts going on at the back of a DS. The bold big 'Discovery' then to the left 'Sport' perhaps 'HSE' or 'HSE Luxury' then the Land Rover oval with its script.
It'd be much cleaner to just have
'D I S C O V E R Y ' the green oval
And nothing more.
It's a bit naff to over badge. Nice and discreet to keep it simple.
It reminds me of the 1980s when my Dad considered buying a car which had such. A big name it started a new paragraph. The
Volvo.

That's how it was laid out in the boot lid I recall.
Think about this. The Royal Yacht Britannia was a design classic. Instantly internationally recognisable. She didn't wear her name on her hull anywhere. Why? She didn't need to. People knew what they were looking at.
Less is more:

Remember those rediculous Merc badges: Kompressor or TURBODIESEL took up half the boot lid. The word Kompressor allways makes me think of spray painting....

I removed the HSE badge and replaced the sport with a black badge with the same font as the discovery lettering

Yes that works! Black on black understates the understatement if you know what I mean.
I was thinking about this just now and realised my MGF - designed by the same bloke who oversaw the DS - has nothing more than an MG octagon fore and aft. Nothing on it to tell you it's anything more than an MG. The F, 1.8 16v Twin Cam, multi -point fuel injections bit is irrelevant

It's a range rover sport supercharged badge ... you can order them from any LR parts specialist or a dealer part ... the font matches exactly the discovery lettering unlike the badge the DS comes with
