Hi all,

Just got another quick question.

The dealer has added 2 'dealer fitted options' on the order form - 1. Safeguard (£350) and 2. House charge (£50). The only extras I went for on my HSE were a contrast roof, privacy glass and spare wheel.

Anyone have any idea what these extra charges are for? The salesperson I am dealing with is currently busy so that I would get the views of everyone on this forum.

Thanks.

Stratstones per chance?

Tell them to remove them or they can shove the car where the sun doesn't shine. See thread on these 'life shine' products, the £50 'house charge' is abhorrent.

They are simply tricks to the unaware to increase profits.

Shameful, perhaps the house charge is levied for them allowing you into their showroom. I'd also tell them nicely what to do with it.

I reckon they are at it with this "House Charge" stuff.
Don't you have access to another dealer? As previously quoted tell them to SHOVE IT.

Typical, its exactly what I was getting at partly in my post 'Lifeshine', get them to remove both, but I would be interested to know what 'House Charge' is?
