I bought a replacement Bosch 80AH AGM battery from Tayna Batteries (off the internet) back in June. 5 year warranty and it only cost me £148.87 including delivery. which I thought was a bit of a bargain. Installed it, had the BMS reset and stop-start now works again.
However, doing it myself meant I had to pay £60 for the BMS reset which direct suppliers would have done as part of the price.
Equally I had Halfords come to my house and fit a new battery to the Jag a couple of years back and was (and still am) very happy with the battery and service.So if Halfords are offering a decent warranty and fitting for a competitive price, go for it. Especially as fitting a battery to a DS is a bit of a palava.
