Can you please confirm if there is an additional liquid that we have to put if we buy the new engine DS?
A friend of mine just bought a Volvo XC60 and I went with him to pick up the car and the Volvo dealer told me that their XC60 model, which is Euro 6 does not need this liquid as Volvo avoided that for cars over 1700Kgs.
What happens with DS? I really dont want to have another thing to remember.

DS Diesel engine to meet Euro 6 does need AdBlue. Volvo uses so called lean NOx traps rather than selective catalytic reduction as JLR do. As far as I know they use this on all XC 60 engines. The use of AdBlue is anyway engine and not vehicle weight related.

AdBlue only needed on the new EU6 ingenium diesels.

Hi All,

Yes ADBlue is required in new EURO6 ingenium Engines.

SD4 unit the same as in the Evoque and only requires Diesel.
